What is ICSI?
ICSI is an IVF method where fertilization is supported by placing a single sperm directly into an egg in the laboratory.
It is often chosen when couples want a more controlled fertilization step and a focused embryology process during IVF.
ICSI is performed by experienced embryologists in a fertility lab, followed by embryo development monitoring before embryo transfer.

FAQ
Is ICSI the same as IVF?
- ICSI is part of IVF. IVF is the full treatment process, while ICSI is a fertilization technique used within IVF.
How many clinic visits are needed?
- Usually several monitoring visits during stimulation, then egg retrieval day, embryo transfer, and follow-ups (visit count varies per plan).
- Overall, #1 Phase takes around 2 weeks from first doctor consultation to Egg Retrieval & Semen Collection. #2 Phase takes around 2 weeks from Preparing Uterus Lining and Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) to Pregnancy test.
Can I travel to Thailand for ICSI?
- Yes. Many international patients plan ICSI in Bangkok with a clear timeline and scheduling support.
How long do I need to stay in Thailand for ICSI?
- You can either stay in Thailand for the full process, which typically takes around 2 months, or split the trip into two visits. Most patients prefer splitting: the first trip covers medical examination, stimulation/monitoring, and egg retrieval (about 10–14 days), then you can return home while the clinic completes the lab process. The second trip is for uterus lining preparation and Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) (about 7-14 days), followed by the pregnancy test after.
